Two thousand crore loan sanctioned for Bundelkhand Expressway

Two thousand crore rupees will be provided for the Bundelkhand Expressway project. This will speed up the work of this project. Bank of Baroda MD and CEO PS Jayakumar agreed to give a loan of Rs 1500 crore in a meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 


On the initiative of the Chief Minister, the bank has increased the loan investment proposal to Rs 2000 crore. The bank will give this loan to UPDA. UPIDA Chief Executive Officer Avnish Awasthi said that the construction cost of this expressway project has been sanctioned at Rs 14850 crore. The government has told UPEDA that it can take loans of 7000 crores from various banks for construction of expressway. 
The rest of the money will be borne by the state government at its own expense. Now, with the Bank of Baroda sanctioning a loan of 2000 crores, other banks will also take a fast decision on the proposals under consideration for lending. The bank also invested Rs 2000 crore in the consortium of banks set up by UPDA for the expressway. 
Avneesh Awasthi said that this expressway will start from Bharatkup village in Chitrakoot and is to be built on Lucknow Agra Expressway to village Kudarel in Etawah. This expressway will pass through Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah districts. This expressway will play an important role in connecting Agra Delhi and NCR region to Bundelkhand region via Agra Lucknow Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. 95 percent of the land for this expressway has been purchased.
