Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's order to be removed from the ECL, go abroad for four weeks

The Lahore High Court has allowed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for four weeks for treatment, ruling on a petition filed against a conditional government permit to go abroad.







The court rejected the objection of the government lawyers and ordered the removal of Nawaz Sharif from the ECL.

According to the High Court's decision, if Nawaz Sharif's health does not improve during this period, a four-week period may be extended.

After the court verdict, Shahbaz Sharif told the media that Nawaz Sharif has been granted treatment, the court ordered the removal of Nawaz Sharif from the ACL on which he is grateful. “The prayers of many mothers and workers and my mother have been accepted in the nation. The obstacles to Nawaz Sharif's treatment are now gone. Nawaz Sharif will return after receiving treatment.

Government response

Prime Minister Imran Khan's Assistant Special Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government would take a decision on the decision after reviewing the detailed decision.

In his statement to the media, Babar Awan said that it was a judicial decision. Senator Faisal Javed told the BBC that a cabinet would be consulted to challenge the decision.

Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan has said that this decision of the court is on a temporary basis, a detailed review of the five questions raised by the court is yet to be reviewed. In response to a question, he said that the decision would be presented to the cabinet and then the cabinet would decide whether to challenge it.

Earlier, the court had drafted the federal government and Shahbaz Sharif's lawyers, suggesting that Nawaz Sharif should be given four weeks for treatment abroad.

On this occasion, the court inquired that a weekly report on Nawaz Sharif's health could be obtained, to which his lawyer Ashtar Owais replied that it was not customary to report weekly in the UK.

A detailed account of the prosecution proceedings on Saturday

The Lahore High Court heard about Nawaz Sharif's request to go abroad for about six hours and four times dedicated counsel for counseling.

Shahbaz Sharif remained in the courtroom continuously during the hearing. His lawyers pointed out that the terms of endowment bonds were unconstitutional and lawless. Federal government lawyer Ishtiaq A. Khan strongly opposed it and justified who would pay the fine if Nawaz Sharif did not return.

He said that when the accountability court ordered him to appear in the reference, Nawaz Sharif appeared on the court order and never deliberately stayed away from the court.

Amjad Pervez said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left his wife in a state of illness and came to Pakistan and encountered cases. Nawaz Sharif and his daughter were convicted in the Avon Field case, both returned to Pakistan and sentenced.
